Outreach & Constituent Services Task Force Meeting

ANC 6B’s Outreach & Constituent Services Task Force will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.  The meeting will begin at 7pm and be held at the Hill Center, 921 Pennsylvania Avenue SE.

On the agenda are discussions about two parks within 6B: the “plastic park” at 9th & D Streets SE and the “skate park” located under the SE/SW Freeway and abutting Garfield Park.  Invited participants include Seth Shapiro, DPR; Brad Pine and William Phillips, Friends of Garfield Park; and Kathleen Rehwaldt, the Park Partners Manager for the DPR Office of Partnerships and Development.  In addition, Martin Smith from Barracks Row Main Street has been invited to discuss the establishment of a 501c3 organization to adopt the park at 9th & D Streets SE.
